PGY-1 Community Pharmacy
Residency Program
Hawthorne Pharmacy proudly offers a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program in affiliation with the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. This program is designed to provide pharmacists with advanced training in patient-centered care, clinical services, and community pharmacy practice management.
Residents gain hands-on experience in medication therapy management, immunization services, disease state education, and collaborative healthcare initiatives. With opportunities to precept pharmacy students, conduct practice-based research, and develop leadership skills, our residents graduate prepared to advance the role of community pharmacists in improving patient health outcomes.
By training alongside experienced pharmacists at Hawthorne Pharmacy and distinguished faculty at USC, residents benefit from a program that combines the strengths of a locally trusted, independent pharmacy with the academic excellence of a top-tier College of Pharmacy.
